Surrendered with her senior-sister Sophia after their mother received a terminal diagnosis. Sophia had epilepsy and passed not long after. Getting Lilly to adapt and conform was quite the challenge. She had an extremely dominant personality and would test my boundaries at every turn. She wanted to be the boss at all costs.
A lot of behavioural training and conditioning went into this girl. Rehabilitation almost seemed impossible at one stage. One day she had a freak accident and landed under a car when she wriggled under a fence. Her pelvis was broken in four places.
For six weeks I tended to her night and day. I slept next to her, waking up every hour to make sure she was comfortable and taking her outside if she needed to go do her ablutions. During that time, our bond grew strong; we started understanding each other. We became so close that I could not let her go. Thereafter she had been my weird little quirky Lillian. I would not have it any other way.
Unfortunately, we lost Lilly on 30 June 2025 due to her back and hips leaving her in severe pain and distress. At her age, limited options were available to us and the hardest choice of all had to be made. We had to set Lil free. Her light, her smile and her wiggle waggle walk that brought a smile to everyone's face will forever be missed!
Loving you always Lil.... Fun free....
