Bruce came into my life only a year ago. Brucie lived on the streets; he had a massive infected cyst under his chin and lumps on his body. This boy needed urgent medical intervention.

He was a scavenger when he arrived; no cupboard, table, or food was safe. Bruce would make a plan to get his tummy full, and no amount of food seemed to satisfy him. I managed to get him into a feeding routine, showing him that food won't ever be something he needs to worry about again.

After this aspect was resolved, this little man's personality slowly but surely started coming to the fore. Initially, he was withdrawn, stuck to the sidelines, and showed little, if any, emotion. That changed. Brucie now has a facial expression for every emotion his little heart is feeling and has turned into a quirky, eccentric Basset boy, who lives and loves freely. He is good with animals and humans alike, soaks up attention, and embraces his new life with all 4 paws…
