Deliverance

aka. Livvy

Our Miracle Girl

Livvy’s story began with both hope and heartache. Her mother, Ardence, was one of the first goats to arrive at our sanctuary. She came to us pregnant and vulnerable, having been sold while suffering from a serious prolapse. We knew her journey would be difficult, and though she brought Livvy safely into the world, we tragically lost Ardence just two days later.

Left without her mother, tiny Livvy faced an uphill battle for survival that tested every ounce of our resolve.

A Battle of Wills and Love

Livvy was, without a doubt, one of the most challenging babies we have ever raised. In her grief and confusion, she wanted nothing to do with humans. She refused the bottle, screaming and kicking at every feeding. For weeks, "mealtimes" became hour-long marathons of patience. We relied on syringes, droppers, and sheer determination—sleeping only an hour at a time to ensure she stayed hydrated and nourished.

After a month of tears, prayers, and relentless effort, the moment finally came: Livvy took the bottle. It remains one of our proudest milestones—a literal turning point between life and loss.

A Mommy’s Girl at Heart

Today, the girl who once fought us so hard is a total "mommy’s girl." While she has remained small in stature due to her difficult start, she is a vibrant, healthy, and happy "mini" goat. You will usually find her right by our side, looking for a treat or simply checking in to say hello.

Every nudge and every "hello" from Livvy is a gift. She is a living reminder that even when the odds are stacked against us, love and persistence can create miracles.
