Star is the daughter of Onyx, born the stronger of two twin sisters. The

unique nature of every goat is perfectly captured by this independent, strong-willed young lady who lives life entirely on her own terms.

her mother, Onyx, or her sister, Moon, Starry isn’t one for "cuddling mere humans." She tolerates us with a touch of grit—allowing us to feed or heal her when necessary—but at her core, she is a family girl through and through. You will always find her tucked close to Onyx or Moon’s flank; she walks proudly with them, grazes beside them, and sleeps amongst them.

With a beautiful, untamable glint in her eye and a strong arc to her neck, she carries the secure knowledge of truly belonging. In most circumstances, a young doe like her would have been separated from her family system for sale or production. There is an immense, quiet relief in knowing that Starry will never experience the torment of being torn from her herd.

Even though we’d love a few more cuddles, there is something deeply humbling about her "born to be free" spirit. We appreciate Starry exactly for who she is.
