The Pint-Sized Powerhouse

Kass is a tiny package with a massive personality. The daughter of Rabbedoe (who arrived at Besida pregnant), Kass is a lively Basset-Dachshund mix who has been safe, warm, and loved since the very second she entered this world.

Small but Mighty

Just like her mom, Kass faces some musculoskeletal challenges, but if you saw her in motion, you’d never know it. Nothing stops this girl! She "plays for a living," and watching her with her chosen big brother, Khalil, is one of the greatest shows at the sanctuary. Despite the huge size difference, they are inseparable BFFs, wrestling and racing for hours on end, long after the rest of the pack has tucked themselves in for a nap.

The Tiny Taskmaster

Don't let the "cute" fool you—Kass has a bit of a temper! If a playmate isn't following her rules or playing to her specific liking, she isn't afraid to give them a very loud, very stern "talking to." Amazingly, all the other dogs—even the giants—just take it in their stride. When the pack starts a group howl, Kass joins in with a hysterical, high-pitched soprano that can make you cringe and laugh at the same time.

A Life of Pure Love

Unlike her mother’s difficult past, Kass will never know the worry of where her next meal is coming from or the cold of a night without a bed. She will never have to bear the burden of pups of her own. Giving loves to this spunky little girl is one of the best feelings in the world, and we are so proud to be the ones who ensure she stays safe and cherished for the rest of her days.
